First edition, first issue with page number on title page. Publisher's quarter black cloth over paper covered boards decorated in a striking, silver, green and black Art Deco design. Gilt lettering to the spine. Decorative endpapers and Art Deco style decorations in colour throughout by Gilbert Rumbold. A fine copy, fresh, bright and clean, with just a hint of wear to the spine ends, but the susceptible foil blocking unusually unworn. An exceptionally well preserved copy.
Harry Craddock was probably the foremost cocktail barman of the 1920s and 30s. He left the USA during Prohibition and worked at the American Bar at the Savoy Hotel in London.
