The illustrations in this book are in deep and vibrant colours. A near fine copy, with just very slight dustiness to the spine and an ink mark to the margin of page 34.
This book is a handsome production, which gathers stories from the various allied nations, including "Snegorotchka", "Ivan and the Chestnut Horse", "Fire Bird"(Russia); "Urashima Taro" (Japan); "The Story of a Bird Feng" (China), plus various French, Irish and British tales. Dulac's illustrations provide the perfect accompaniment with in deep, vibrant colours conveying mystic and exotic scenes.
