First edition illustrated by Dulac. 4to. Number 403 of 1500 copies of the Edition de Luxe. Quarter white vellum with gilt titles and marbled paper boards. In original black card slipcase, lettered gilt. Six colour plates by Dulac. A fine copy.
Milton's Masque was first performed at Ludlow Castle in 1634. This was to be Dulac's final book, being published posthumously. Dulac planned a series of eight watercolour illustrations, but had completed only six when he died in 1953.
