First edition. 4to. Deluxe subscriber's issue, number 42 of 87 copies, one for each year of Old Tom's life, signed by the authors with the subscriber's name on the title page. Original full green morocco with raised bands to the spine between gilt rules, gilt titles, two red title labels, and blind stamped vignette of golf clubs to two compartments. Gilt dentelles to the front and rear turn-ins, silk endpapers, and a red marker ribbon. Pockets to the rear endpapers containing a facsimile scorecard and three facsimile letters. All housed in a green morocco slipcase. Colour and black and white illustrations throughout. A fine copy in a fine slipcase.
