First edition. 8vo. Original light brown cloth with elaborate gilt lettering and design to upper cover and spine. Top edge gilt. Four chromolithograph plates under tissue guards and 35 (mainly full page) engravings of scenes and diagrams by G.A Laundy. A very good copy with some darkening to the spine which is cocked and has fraying to the spine ends. Library stamp in blind and previous owner's name stamped in ink to front endpapers.
