First edition, deluxe issue. Number 831 of 1500 copies. Signed by Edmund Dulac. 4to. Burgundy cloth with brass golden cockerel to the upper cover. In publisher's protective pictorial card chemise and card slipcase. Pictorial title page, four full page colour plates and many smaller colour illustrations and borders in the text. A fine copy, slipcase a little faded.

The Golden Cockerel is fairy tale by Russian author Alexander Pushkin, which takes its inspiration from the Legend of the Arabian Astrologer from the Tales of the Alhambra by Washington Irving.
