First edition illustrated by Dulac. 4to. Number 481 of 1500 copies of the Edition de Luxe. Quarter white vellum with gilt titles and marbled paper boards. Six colour plates by Dulac. A fine copy in original slipcase. Loosely inserted is a monthly letter of the Limited Editions Club and a copy of Dulac's obituary from The Times, May 1953.
Milton's Masque was first performed at Ludlow Castle in 1634. This was to be Dulac's final book, being published posthumously. Dulac planned a series of eight watercolour illustrations, but had completed only six when he died in 1953.
