First edition illustrated by Pogany. Large 4to. The original green cloth is decorated with embossed gilt lettering and decorations are in gilt, brown and green. Top edge gilt. From endpaper to endpaper each page is elaborately decorated in Pogany's distinctive style. The beautiful calligraphic text is set within decorative borders, there are twenty mounted colour plates, line drawings and two tone plates. A very good copy, slight rubbing to the corners, small nick to upper joint and occasional corner creases. A wonderful rendition of Coleridge's supernatural poem.
This is a beautiful and elaborately decorated book.
