First Pogany edition. 8vo. Purple cloth with lettering and design in gilt on the front board and spine, in the original brightly coloured pictorial dustwrapper. Brightly coloured pictorial endpapers, matching the dustwrapper. Wonderful black and white illustrations throughout, in a style quite different from Pogany's usual colourful work. A fine copy with only slight wear to the gilt and previous owner's name on the front free end paper, in a near fine dustwrapper, which is uncommonly bright and fresh, with just slight wear to the corners.
A seldom seen edition of Alice's Adventures. Pogany's drawings for this story draw heavily on the Art Deco movement, showing Alice in a more unusual style.
