Illustrated profusely throughout with black and white photographs, some folding out double pages. A near fine copy, with some light bumping to the corners and an armorial bookplate to the front pastedown.
Robert Adam was an 18th century British architect, interior designer and furniture designer distinctive in his use of "light and fanciful ornamentation" and Neoclassical style. With his brothers James and John his practice was at the forefront of British architecture, and his designs came to dominate the later Georgian period. He is know perhaps the best known of all British architects.
