Tipped-in colour frontispiece after a painting by Cyril A. Farey of The Mound, Long Crendon. Further photographic illustrations throughout the text. A near fine copy with a little flaking to the lettering on the spine, in a good+ dustwrapper with tanning to the spine and chips to the spine ends.
Following the success and popularity of the chapters on the repair and restoration of houses in Small Country Houses Of To-day, Weaver decided to expand on the subject, choosing forty examples of enlarged and repaired old houses. They include The Wharf in Sutton Courtenay, King John's Farm in Chorleywood and Vann in Hambledon.
