Number 118 of 750 sets produced to commemorate the centenary of the writing of the original Peter Rabbit picture letter. It includes a facsimile of the picture letter sent to Noel Moore, which records the first appearance of Peter Rabbit, as well as facsimiles of the first privately printed edition of the tale and the first published deluxe edition. An illustrated eight page booklet gives information about the development of this classic tale. All housed in a blue cloth drop over box with a limitation label on the inside cover. The box is protected by a plain white slipcase, which is slightly foxed. Books, letter and box all in fine condition.
