First edition. 4to. Green cloth, lettered and decorated in black, with elaborate gilt lettering on the upper cover. Illustrated throughout with ten tipped in black and white photographs, two of which are gelatin silver prints, ten chromolithograph colour plates and two plates of black and white photographic images. A very good copy, with new endpapers and showing some edge wear. Some plates have corner creases. An uncommon item of interest to both the baker and the student of photographic history.
