First edition. 8vo. Blue cloth with gilt lettering on the spine and vignette on the upper cover, in the original printed dustwrapper. Top edge gilt. A theatre programme for the play "Toad of Toad Hall" at the Prince Theatre, dated December 23rd 1954, loosely inserted. A very good copy indeed, some light fading to the spine.
This play, based on the Wind in the Willows, is described by Milne as having "enough of Kenneth Grahame in it to appease his many admirers, and enough of me in it to justify my name on the title page".
