First edition. Small 4to. Original cloth backed glazed pictorial boards, in printed dustwrapper. Pictorial endpapers. Twelve full page colour plates and numerous line drawings in the text by Attwell. A beautiful copy, in fine, bright condition, just one almost imperceptible scuff to the upper cover and light spotting to the page edges. The dustwrapper is a remarkable survival being in fine condition, remaining clean and bright with minor wear to the spine ends and corners, but overall a stunning example of a rare and fragile item.
