Gift edition of these classic tales. 4to. Red cloth with gilt lettering and decoration in the original dustwrapper with colour plate laid onto the front panel. Sixteen tipped in colour plates and many black and white drawings by William Heath Robinson. A near fine copy, with some foxing throughout and previous owners neat ink inscription of previous owner on the front endpaper; and a small white mark on the frontispiece plate. In very good dustwrapper.
Includes many of Hans Andersen's most popular fairy tales, such as: The Little Mermaid; The Snow Queen; The Emperor's New Clothes; The Ugly Duckling and many more. This edition published by Boots the Chemist was a deluxe gift book aimed at the Christmas market.
