Charmingly illustrated Christmas gift edition with illustration by Hudson. 4to. In original blue cloth with elaborate gilt design and titles. Twelve colour plates mounted under tissue guards, plus numerous line drawings in the text, printed in orange and black. A very good copy indeed, bright and fresh, with some potting ot page edges.
A striking gift edition of Alice, with Hudson's page headers in black and orange providing a decidedly Art Deco feel to the text. The colour plates are vibrant and slightly whacky.
