GREENE, Graham iT's a Battlefield

Heinemann, 1934.

First edition, remaindered issue with 3/6 overprinted on the spine of the dustwrapper. Original black cloth with gilt lettering to the spine, in stylish pictorial dustwrapper designed by Youngman Carter. A near fine copy, with ownership inscription to front endpaper and small bookshop label to rear pastedown, in a very good dustwrapper indeed, with some light wear to spine ends and edges, and a 4/-price label to the spine.

Greene described 'It's a Battlefield' as his "first overtly political novel".
