Grey cloth with lettering and vignettes in gilt to spine and white label to upper cover with titles and gilt stamped vignette. Top edge gilt. Pictorial endpapers, 13 mounted colour plates and 43 black and white drawings. Also present is the extra plate in its printed envelope. The plate is from p.178 an illustration entitled "He hurried away with long strides" and is SIGNED by the artist. A near fine copy.
A charming version of Grimm's fairy tales accompanied by Rackham's illustrations. Fairy tales include: Snow-white and Rose Red; Thumbling's Travels etc.
