Printed greeting card with design in blue, green and yellow depicting a central angelic figure flanked by flowers. 16.5 x 10.5cm. Inscribed by Jessie M. King, "From the (drawing of a Greengate) Kirkcudbright, E.A. and J.M.K.T." In excellent condition.
Greetings cards were always treated with great importance at Greengate. In 1929 Jessie had designed the first in a long series of Christmas and New Year cards for their own use. This was to be one of her final card designs, as in July of that year Jessie suffered from a heart attack and died on 3rd August. Merle kept card this alongside letters from her parents.
