The Echoing Strangers

MITCHELL, Gladys

MITCHELL, Gladys The Echoing Strangers

Michael Joseph, 1952.

First edition. Red boards, lettered in gilt, in original pictorial dustwrapper. A near fine copy, in a very good dustwrapper indeed with a little light wear to the head of the spine. Uncommon.

A Mrs Bradley novel. Mitchell was an early member of the Detection Club along with Agatha Christie and Dorothy L. Sayers and throughout the 1930s was considered to be one of the "Big Three women detective writers".
Diana Rigg immortalised the eponymous amateur detective in the BBC's The Mrs Bradley Mysteries.
