First edition. Original blue cloth in pictorial dustwrapper. A near fine copy in a very good dustwrapper that has a chip to the head of the front panel about 1cm at deepest, and minor wear to the corners.
A Dr Thorndyke story. Dr. Thorndyke's methods of detection are characterised by investigations of apparently irrelevant facts and lengthy explanations of his train of hypothetical reasoning.
