A very good copy, previous ownership inscription on the front free endpaper, in a good dustwrapper, which is complete but worn and rubbed at the edges.
Autobiography of New Zealander Frederick John Lucas, the renowned WW2 bomber pilot, founder member of the distinguished 75 (NZ) Squadron where he was awarded the DFC (and bar) and gained his nickname for his resemblance to the cartoon character. He returned to New Zealand after the war and played a major part in establishing a pioneer aviation service in Queenstown, servicing Milford Sound and Fiordland.
