First edition. Original green cloth, lettered in gilt to spine and upper cover. Author's presentation copy, inscribed by the author to his wife, "To my dear wife / Arthur Morrison / February 1909" A very good copy with spine slightly faded and worn.
A contemporary review published in the Daily Telegraph read, "It is long since we have laughed for much over ludicrous situations. We are always heartily and wholesomely entertained."
