First edition with Bosschere illustrations. 4to. Number 242 of 3,000 copies. Brick coloured cloth, lettered and decorated gilt. Top edge gilt, others uncut. Eight colour plates (many highlighted with gilt) under tissue guards, 8 full page black and white plates, plus chapter headings and tail pieces. A very near fine copy, slight rubbing to the corners.
A beautiful production, de Bosschere's Art Deco illustrations perfectly suit the bawdy nature of the tale.
