Pocket edition, new impression. 12mo. Dark green cloth, lettered and decorated gilt to the spine, blind stamped decoration to the upper cover. Loosely laid in are two charming watercolours, both inspired by the poems, one of which is clearly a representation of a scene from "The Land of Counterpane". A very good copy, spine gilt bright. Ownership inscription of Phyllis Savery on the front endpaper.
The two watercolours are assumed to be by a young Phyllis Savery, the younger sister of the author Constance Savery, painted shortly after the family moved into the St Mark's Vicarage, Birmingham.
