First edition. 8vo. Pillar box red cloth with gilt lettering on the front and spine. Decoration in blue on the upper cover and spine, and an heraldic vignette in gilt and blue on the upper cover. Top edge gilt. Twenty colour illustrations, with captioned tissue guards, by E. Harrison Compton. Fold out map at the rear. A lovely, bright copy. Chester College arms embossed to upper cover in gilt, some spotting to prelims and page edges.
