Illustrated throughout with illustrations contemporary to Austen's novels, as well as facsimile title pages of her early editions. A very good set indeed, a trifle rubbed but still attractive.
Austen scholar R.W. Chapman's appendicies and comments at the end of each volume including a chronology of each novel and such subjects as 'Miss Austen's English', 'The Early Editions', 'The Manners of the Age'.
