First edition. Original purple cloth with silver lettering on the spine in rare pictorial dustwrapper. A fine copy with a little foxing to the page edges and bookplate of Ned Guymon to the front pastedown, in fine dustwrapper which is a little dusty to the back panel and shows just a trace of wear to the spine ends, but is exceptionally bright and crisp.
This title along with Parker Pyne Investigates were both published by Collins in 1934 but not under their 'Crime Club' imprint. Both were issued in small numbers and are now among Christie's scarcest titles even without dustwrappers and almost unknown in one, particularly one so well preserved.
