First edition. Black boards with gilt embossed Japanese title on upper cover and silver embossed English title on spine, in Chopping pictorial dustwrapper. A very good copy, with some spotting to the top edge and a small mark to page 129, in a very good dustwrapper with a little rubbing to the extremities.
The first Bond novel written after the film franchise had started in 1962, and reflects Sean Connery's depiction of James Bond. Fleming composed You Only Live Twice on his typewriter during January and February 1963 at his Goldeneye estate in Jamaica.
