First edition. Original quarter black cloth over black paper boards, lettered in yellow, white and red, in pictorial dustwrapper with a design by Paul Bacon. Top edge yellow. A fine copy with some tape marks to front hinge, in a very good, bright price-clipped dustwrapper with some short closed tears to the lower edge of the upper cover and the base of the spine repaired with tape to the verso.
This American edition preceded the UK first edition, which was published eight months later under the very slightly revised title 'Ice in the Bedroom'.
